The students created a new notebook for Diversity of Life and pondered questions about the difference between living and nonliving things. What characteristics are evidence of life? The students also observed some mystery particles and recorded their thoughts as to whether the particles were living or nonliving.

Today the students took a pretest to see how much they know about the Diversity of Life. We will graph the results of this pretest tomorrow and begin our unit.
