STEWART MATH/SOCIAL STUDIES

Math-
Period 3
It has been a pleasure working with this group.  I know they will be equally successful second semester with Mr. Bolton.
Period 4
We will begin Chapter 7 in January. For third quarter there will be a change in the way grades are weighted.  Homework will be worth 20% of their grade and Tests will be worth 80%
 
Social Studies-
  A worksheet/color sheet was given on 12-15-10.  This is due January 3rd.  We will continue working on Ancient Greece in anticipation of Greek and Roman Day on February 10th.

Peck - Science Homework

Today we reviewed Warm Fronts and Cold Fronts one more time.  We also went over how a cloud is formed and what conditions are necessary for rain to fall.  The students worked on their review guides in preparation for Tuesday's final test. Please encourage them to look this guide over and ask questions between now and Tuesday!

Peck-Science Homework

Today the students received a review guide to help them prepare for the Final Test on Tuesday December 14th.  I strongly encouraged they take a look at it and find out what they need to prepare for the most.  We also reviewed cold fronts and warm fronts and what kind of weather they produce.

Peck-Science Homework

The students learned how to define a cold front and warm front today and what happens when two air masses collide.  They also practiced how to read weather related symbols on a weather map.
 
Homework: Complete the questions on Lab page 57 using pages 87-88 in the Science Textbook
*Tomorrow I will pass out a review guide to help prepare for the final that is scheduled for next Tuesday! Please take advantage of it!!!

Today we learned what isobars were and how they help us to predict weather around the nation.  We reviewed air pressure concepts and how they relate to wind.
