Math: The students practiced some more with evaluating expressions. 
Homework: Packet Page 122 Problems 6-10
 
Science: The students worked with a partner to revise and edit their water molecule stories.  They also reviewed flower reproduction by working on a packet the accompanied a short film.
Homework: Have a finished, revised copy of your molecule story completed for typing Thursday or Friday; Packets are due on Friday. 
 
Field Day tomorrow from 9:30-11:30!

Science: The teacher explained the guidelines for the upcoming Science Fair project and wrote in the specific due dates.
Homework: Bring in a medium/large flowering plant to be used for flower dissection!!

Math: The students practiced creating expressions based on information collected onto a dtat table from a word problem.
Homework: Lesson 20 Problem Set Questions 2 and 4
 
Science: The students collected evidence of transpiration on plants around our campus.  We also reviewed the process of transpiration and identified how water travels through a plant.
Homework: Quiz on Investigation 6 tomorrow! Study your noted from Investigation 6!

Math: The students created data tables based on information from a story problem.  From the data table they created expressions that could be used to solve other word problems.
Homework: Lesson 19 Problem Set Questions 1,3,and 5 only!
 
Science: The students learned how plants are able to control the rate of transpiration from within the plant. They also bagged plants on campus to collect evidence of transpiration.
Homework: Read the article "Leaves and Stems" and complete the 5 Think Questions at the end.

Math: The students are blasting through the early lessons of Module 4! We practiced writing and reading Division Expressions. We also identified the several ways that division can be expressed.
Homework: Problem Sets 13 AND 14
 
Science: The students hypothesized as to what differences there would be between a plant exposed to sunlight and one kept in the dark.  The students also determined that the root grows before the stem when a plant sprouts.
Homework: None
