Peck Science Homework

We performed an investigation today that allowed us to interact with air compression and air pressure. We defined these two terms in our interactive notebook and illustrated the process as well.
 
Homework: Read "What is in the Air?" Answer the two Thinking Questions in your interactive notebook in complete sentences.

Social Studies: no HW. Working on Primary Sources group activity in class.
 
Math: Students were given only the first 4 problems (out of 8) for HW on the Problem Solving Packet rather then rush through the last two Strategies and assign everything.  Last 4 problems will follow tomorrow.

Bolton Math and Social Studies

All students should have a pair of scissors and some glue for our interactive notebooks. We have someto share, but it saves time if everyone has their own. Also, dry erase markers would be beneficial in MATH. We sometimes use small whiteboards for quick practice. I understand some things were left off of the supply lists.

We discussed expectations and came up with Mission Statements/Goals for our classes.
 
For Math, each class came up with a variation on:
The mission of our class is to try to master the 6th grade Math Standards.
 
For Social Studies, each class came up with a variation on:
The mission of our class is to learn what is needed to get an A or B in 6th Grade Social Studies.
