Math: none, had quiz today, most did well.

ELA: none, students finished missing work and final essay for this quarter.

 

Homeroom tomorrow: Last week, students were given a flyer about our class party that is tomorrow.  They can bring in board games for the morning.  They were to bring in snacks based on their last name for the afternoon.

 

A through Hag: Drinks (juice, pop, etc.)

Hor through Moo: Salty snack

Mor through Sta: Sweet snack

Ste through Wil: Napkins/plates, cups, etc.

 

Right now we have plenty of plates, napkins and cups, thank you.  Hopefully more snack will arrive tomorrow.

Math: Students need to complete the practice test in preparation for the Module 2 Test.

Science: The students worked on a Review Guide that covers all of our Weather and Water unit.

Homework: This review guide is not homework, but going over it at home would be a great idea to be prepared for Wednesday's test!

 

Reminders: Gift is due Wednesday for our gift exchange party!  Please have treats in by Wednesday as well!!

**Camp Surf Payments should be in by this week if you are wanting to take advantage of the tax credit!

Social Studies

We are doing an ABC Book for Ancient India and Ancient China.  This little booklet is due WED. Dec. 17th  It will count a a test grade, as students are learning vocabulary and showing knowledge of concepts through writing and drawing.

 

The students will be taking a district Social Studies test on Wednesday.

Math: The students came up with "Divisibility Rules" that would help them become more skilled at manipulating numbers in division.

Homework: Exercise Questions 1-7

 

Science: The students performed a brief activity that demonstrated how air reacts to pressure.

Homework: Read the article "What is Air Pressure" and answer the four thinking questions.

Math: The students used the division algorithm to compute long division problems with decimals.

Science: The students illustrated their own version of the water cycle on our planet.

Homework: Read "Earth - The Water Planet" and answer the 5 questions.  Complete your water cycle illustration and be sure you have at least 6 stops in your picture.

Math: The students continued to practice long division and using estimation/compatible numbers as a tool. 

Homework: Lesson 13 Problem Set questions 1-3.  Be sure to complete ALL steps including check by multiplying.

 

Science: The students played the Water Cycle Game and learned about the study of hydrology.
