Math: The students continued to work on finding "the best buy" by calculating rate using tables, charts, graphs, and equations.
Homework: Lesson 20 Problem Set Questions
 
Science: The students looked at Earth/Sun models to determine why we have seasons when we do.
Homework: Read the article, "Seasons" and answer the questions accompanying the article.

Science: The students calculated daylight hours for a year in Berkeley, CA. We will be exploring a relationship between heating the earth and daylight hours.
Homework: Finish the daylight hour calculations. You do NOT have to graph results!

ELA: All students are working on summarizing Fears and Phobias.  Period 4: We will finish in class tomorrow.
Period 5 should return with a rough draft.

Math: When given a rate, the students created equivalent ratios in order to answer real world problems.

Science: The students completed a Notebook Quiz that helped them be sure their notebooks were organized and ready for studying in preparation for tomorrow's test on Investigations 1 and 2.
Homework: Study for tomorrow's test!

Science: We discussed the atmosphere and identified the 5 main levels of the atmosphere.

Comic Strips not turned in on Friday are due at the beginning of class on Monday.
The study guide for the test on Wednesday was given out today (Friday)  It is due on Tuesday.
Those students who have completed (100% done) will have the opportunity to review with Mrs. Stewart.
Those who have not completed it will be given that time to finish.

Math: The students reviewed graphs, tables, double number lines, and tape diagrams and how these strategies can be used to predict ratio relationships.
Homework: Lessons 12-15 Practice page (It says quiz but this is actually a homework assignment.)
 
Science: The students discussed air and its properties and discussed whether or not it has mass. They began planning an experiment to prove whether air has mass.
Homework: None

Math: ENY Lessons 13 and 14  - Students created equations based on ratio values and relationships. They also learned how to form ordered pairs in order to complete a graph based on the ratio relationships.
Homework: Lessons 13 and 14 Problem Sets (Most students finished in class but please feel free to take a look at their work!)
 
Science: Students investigated the properties of air today and posed question such as "Does air have mass?"
